What does Professional Installation by TechEasy include?

Professional Installation includes the removal of your existing doorbell and the installation and setup of your new ecobee Smart Doorbell Camera (wired). If a new transformer or chime box is required, it can be replaced during installation, but these components and their associated installation costs are not included in the standard installation price. You may either provide the replacement hardware or purchase it directly from TechEasy at an additional cost. 

Can I purchase the Professional Installation service separately from the Smart Doorbell Camera? 

Yes, you can add the Professional Installation service to your cart along with Smart Doorbell Camera or purchase it separately later. 

How many installations can I purchase per doorbell camera?  You can only buy one installation service per doorbell camera per order. If you require multiple doorbell cameras installations, please purchase them as separate orders. 

What happens after I purchase the Professional Installation service? 

1. You will receive an email with an order confirmation. 
2. Once your Professional Installation service order is processed, TechEasy will contact you via email to schedule the technician visit.  
3. On the scheduled day, a TechEasy technician will arrive at your doorstep at the chosen time and install your Smart Doorbell Camera. Installation usually takes between one and two hours. Please note that an adult must be present to let the technician into the home to access the electrical panel and existing door chime.  

 How long does it take to receive and install the doorbell camera? 

Installation scheduling depends on delivery time and TechEasy’s availability, but you will be contacted promptly after your order is processed. 

I booked the technician’s visit, but this time no longer works for me. Can I reschedule?

Yes. To reschedule^*, open the calendar invite for your service appointment and select the rebooking option. You may also reschedule by calling 1-844-441-TECH (8324).

Good to know:

• You can reschedule^* your service appointment at no cost if done at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.

• Appointments rescheduled^* within 24 hours will incur a $25 service fee.

^*Keep in mind, cancellation follows the same steps and terms as rescheduling.

What if I need to cancel my order and request a refund for the installation service? 

If your installation service appointment HAS NOT been scheduled:
Please reach out to ecobee to initiate a refund for the product and installation service using the return process detailed below.

If your installation service appointment HAS been scheduled:
Please open the calendar invite for your service appointment and select the Cancel option. You may also call 1-844-441-TECH (8324) to cancel.

Once you cancelled your service appointment, please use the return process detailed below to initiate a refund on the doorbell camera. When requesting the refund from ecobee, please email us confirmation of the cancelled TechEasy technician visit.​

Good to know:

• You can cancel your service appointment at no cost if you do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
• Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will incur a $49 service fee.
