Reassurance at home and away

SmartSensor sends an alert to your phone when doors and windows are opened or closed.

When you subscribe to ecobee Smart Security, SmartSensor’s motion sensor alerts you to any in-home activity detected when you are away and the home is armed. While you’re home, the contact sensor continues to monitor your entranceways, but the motion sensor turns off to avoid sending unnecessary notifications.

Go ahead and leave a window open; we dare you.

Enjoy fresh air without worrying about energy waste. If a window or door is left open for more than five minutes, SmartSensor automatically pauses heating or cooling. You'll get a notification identifying which entry point is open with the option to resume the system with ease. Once the window or door is closed for 30 seconds, your climate control automatically resumes, keeping your home comfortable and efficient.

Comfort where it counts

Place a sensor in an important room, like your master bedroom or the nursery. To keep the baby safe and comfortable overnight, place a SmartSensor in her room and set your Sleep Comfort Setting to use the sensor to set the home-wide temperature.
